As co-founder of Upper End Properties, I am proud to introduce to Saint Louis a real estate concept that provides a true solution to clients real estate needs.  We are a full-service Realtor representing clients looking to buy, sell, or lease a property.  After working as a financial advisor for 10 years at two of the largest investment firms on Wall Street, I realized the need for bringing more advice and value to the “real estate agent” as opposed to the transaction approach often associated with individuals in this industry.

With all of the world’s economic problems over the last several years, the thing I realized most, whether dealing with managing people’s money or real estate, is the fact that everyone needs a little hand holding.  For all individuals, the most important thing is communication, and lots of it.  People understood that as advisors, we couldn’t control what was going on in the markets, but they expected to be kept in the know on their investments, not ignored.  An individual’s property is generally one of their top three biggest assets.  Therefore, it should be treated that way.

A group of us began to buy investment properties about 10 years ago, and had to hire agents to represent us in our “transactions”.  After a while, I started wondering why I was constantly looking for a new agent.  Why wasn’t I just using the same one again?  I realized I didn’t have a relationship with these agents; rather it was just a means to getting a deal done.

The things I enjoyed most about being a financial advisor were the relationships I developed over those 10 years.  My goal at Upper End Properties is to take that same concept of relationship building and foster it within each one of our agents. The Upper End agent will develop strong relationships with clients while possessing the skills to negotiate a deal when the time comes.

At Upper End Properties, we aim to provide service, detail, and integrity, all at a higher level.  We would like to be our client’s real estate quarterback.  Whether they are relocating to or from a different city, going through a divorce, or just looking to make a change, we can provide them with real estate solutions, with what we refer to as the “Upper End Difference”.

We realize we are not everyone’s real estate agent.  There are areas of St. Louis that we are more than comfortable referring to our clients, families, and friends.  We view other real estate agents as friends, not as competitors, and we look forward to developing relationships with as many agents in the area as possible.

As for our areas of operation, our focus lies in the Central Corridor of St. Louis.  Ranging from the Central West End to University City, Clayton, Brentwood, Kirkwood, Webster, Ladue, Frontenac, Olivette, Creve Coeur, Town & Country, Ballwin, Chesterfield, out to Wildwood.

As part of our process, we will be keeping a blog to communicate what we’re working on here at Upper End.  We promise to do our best in giving you information that will be enjoyable to read, and we aim keep you up to date with everything you need to know about St. Louis real estate.  We look forward to this exciting opportunity and hope that you’ll join us on our journey.
